Emil Bauer is a small family producer in the heart of the Wagram region, an hour from Vienna. The estate is run by Matthias Bauer, aged 34, who took over five years ago. With 14 hectares under vine, Matthias has re–planted many sites with traditional varieties. The wines are fresh, bright and textured. Emil Bauer is destined to become a respected and recognised star of the region.
Roter Veltliner is a particular variety that works well in the Wagram region. The wine is complex and has a delicious creamy texture.
