In his 12th report into the state of the South African wine industry and its wines, Atkin scored one Delheim wine at 96pts, the Edelspatz Old Vine Project Riesling 2021, with the farm’s Vera Cruz Pinotage 2020 garnering 94pts alongside the irreverent Staying Alive Riesling 2022, this being a collaboration between Delheim and German winemaker Christoph Hammel
Delheim Grand Reserve 2020 and Wild Ferment Old Vine Project Chenin Blanc 2021 received 93pts. Delheim Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 drew 92pts, with the estate’s Chardonnay Sur Lie 2022 achieving 91pts.
